Elon Musk says SpaceX AI revenue will outpace all other income by September

Elon Musk told a SpaceX meeting that the company’s artificial-intelligence revenues will exceed all other sources of income by September. He added that in the fourth quarter the gap will widen, with AI revenues significantly outpacing the rest of the business. Musk stressed that success in artificial intelligence is critical and must be reflected not only in hardware but also in software.

Rohan Paul, who posted the comments on X (formerly Twitter), noted that the story is not merely an AI-revenue jump above Starlink. In his view, SpaceX positions AI compute as a core business in which power, cooling, networking and infrastructure become the central bottleneck.

Paul said building AI-compute infrastructure at a scale of 10 gigawatt (GW) would be a massive construction effort. The figure illustrates the direction Musk is taking SpaceX, as the company will have to address physical and infrastructural challenges of a magnitude not previously seen in the sector to sustain growth in compute and software revenue.
