DeepSeek released version 0813 of V4 Pro through the OpenRouter platform, and the company says it is a significant upgrade over the preceding preview version. The gaps focus on metrics that evaluate agent capabilities, that is, long-term autonomous work with external tools, rather than general knowledge tests. The numbers show a sharp improvement relative to the company’s own baseline, but there is currently no way to compare them with other competitors on the same metrics.

The largest jump appears in DeepSWE, a test that assesses autonomous software-engineering ability, where the new model scores 62.7 points, an increase of 49.9 points over its baseline. CyberGym, which evaluates work in cyber environments, reaches 83.3 with a rise of 30.6 points. NL2Repo, which converts natural language to a working code repository, reaches 61.5 with an improvement of 23.0 points. Terminal Bench 2.1, which tests command-line work, shows 87.9 with an increase of 15.8 points. The figures are impressive on paper, but all comparisons are against the preview version of the same model, not against external competitors, and no results versus other models in the same tests have been published.

The model is currently hosted with a single provider on OpenRouter, and the platform routes every request directly to it without routing decisions. The company says additional providers will be added soon, which means availability and price may change. OpenRouter displays traffic data, response time, time to first token and a 30-day availability percentage, but those figures apply only to the current provider and do not necessarily indicate stable long-term performance. The price customers actually pay is lower than the official price because of caching mechanisms and discounts, but no official base price was disclosed in the announcement.

The OpenRouter API is compatible with OpenAI’s, so most SDKs will work with only a base-address change. The model is now available for direct use.
